4 Oct   Louise Jordan

Louise Jordan’s songs tell tales of universal human experience.

Louise has completed seven tours across England, Wales and Scotland more

recently venturing into Europe with trips to Denmark, Holland and Germany.

11 Oct    Simon Kempston

Simon Kempston is one of Scotland’s best young songwriters and leading fingerstyle

guitarists.

18 Oct    Ragged Glory

The band met several years ago at Nitten Folk Club in Newtongrange and

made their debut appearance in 2010 at the Acoustic Music Centre, as

part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. That debut appearance at the Fringe

sold out. And Ragged Glory have repeated that feat every year since. The

band has also been involved in the immensely successful ‘Far Far from Ypres’.

Ragged Glory have always said that their purpose was to have fun, and they

found that singing good songs with strong harmonies helped  towards that end.

25 Oct      Jim King

Jim King has been singing folk songs since the sixties and writing songs for a good
few

years. These days he mostly performs his own stuff along with a handful of songs
he

wishes he had written. He likes to put stories into his songs. Sometimes the stories
are

sad, sometimes they're angry and sometimes they're fun.

Jim King  is difficult to pigeon-hole and although he would happily accept the soubriquet

'folk singer', his performances are so much more wide ranging than that title can
suggest.
