Alan Reid ex Battlefield Band plays the part of Dunfermline born businessman and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie in a drama which tours Scotland from 25-29 November. Carnegie left Dunfermline aged 12 in 1835. By 35 he was a millionaire, and when he retired aged 65, he was the richest man in the world. The play unravels his eventful and controversial life. The play was written by Craigie Folk Club organiser Dave Dewar who plays the part of the interviewer. The live music has been arranged by Alan. An actor plays Carnegie's wife. The play visits Dunoon, Oban, Dumfries, Dunfermline and Ayr and also includes children's workshops.
