Celtic Connections 2016 - and Celtic Connections On Campus.

The Celtic Connections 2016 brochure is available from today, from the usual outlets. There’s an online copy at http://publications.glasgowlife.org.uk/music/Celtic2016Programme/#1

Celtic Music Radio will be there, of course, broadcasting all day every day from the Buchanan Suite in the Concert Hall, and from the Danny Kyle  Open Stage.

This year, we have a new venture. In partnership with our good friends at Glasgow Caledonian University, we will be hosting a series of free drop-in concerts each lunchtime from Tuesday 19 until Friday 22 January, featuring performers and talented students from Scotland’s Universities and Colleges.

Come along to GCU’s central Glasgow campus to four free lunchtime concerts showcasing some of the brightest up-and-coming talent both in front of the mic and behind the scenes. Audio and events management students will support live performances, for what promises to be a unique look into the vibrancy of Scotland's current music education scene.

Celtic Connections on Campus is based in a new venue for the festival, the Bistro in GCU Students Association building. Just a short walk from the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, this informal setting will allow you to savour some great musical talent and grab a bite to eat at the same time, making it a perfect start to your festival day.
