The Glasgow Ballad Workshop, and LOCAL CONNECTIONS

During the Celtic Connections period, The Glasgow Ballad Workshop will be holding three concerts to feature notable and outstanding Scots performers.

On 17th January           KENNA CAMPBELL, the outstanding Gaelic singer from Greepe
                                   ALLAN MacDONALD of Glenuig, piper extraordinary and singer
                                      and JO MILLER, superb singer and fiddler in the Scots Tradition

On 24th January           ADAM McNAUGHTAN, the local “Jeely Piece” and “Hamlet” legend, introduces                                    Robert Burns, illustrated by an array of award-winning Scots singers, including -
                                     CY LAURIE, BARBARA DYMOCK, AILEEN CARR, NATALIE CHALMERS

On 31st January           MICK WEST, a fine entertainer and singer, supported by Frank McLaughlin
                                   along with SYLVIA BARNES, a truly amazing voice, interpreting Traditional songs and                                      Ballads in an amazing way, backed by the multi-talented Sandy Stanage

The three concerts will take place in the AVANT GARDE Music Bar, in King Street, Glasgow, G1 5QT and run from 1pm to 4pm. Telephone 0141 552 7123. Each concert costs £10 or £8 concession.
